How To Run A Country

The human hive has a built in structure that makes it very efficient.

Inventors create the concept.
Hunters figure out how to make it a reality.
Workers build it.
Warriors protect it.

It is a very stable structure.

Those of us who act primarily out of Inventor Instinct act as the board of directors.
We are constantly seeing ways to improve our countries;
ways to make them safer, more stable, and to improve the quality of life for all citizens.
Inventors have the greatest oversight of all human beings.
They remember the past, can imagine the future, and see what needs to be done now, to create that future.

The Inventors pass their ideas onto those who act primarily out of Hunting Instinct.
Hunters are the natural choice to figure out how to make the plans work.
They think in terms of facts, figures, data, research and proof.

They, in turn, hand the plans off to those who act primarily out of Worker Instinct.
The Workers actually build the country.

Once it is built, it is handed off to those who act primarily out of Warrior Instinct.
They are charged with the responsibility to protect what we have built and keep it safe.
The Warriors' role is essential to the stability of the base of the country.

Here is one example:

Inventors define the country.
In The United States, this was the Founding Fathers
who literally invented the concept of The United States.
They defined what it was going to be, how it would work,
what it’s principles are, and how it would provide for it’s people.

Then, the Hunters figure out how to make it happen.
In The United States, this task was given out to the Congress,
a representational group of the country’s citizens.
Their job is to figure out the nuts and bolts
of how to implement the concept of The United States.

Then it is handed off to the Workers to actually build it.
The people of the United States, it’s citizens,
build the country on a daily basis,
the same way worker bees build their hive.

Once a piece of it is built, it is handed off to the Warriors to protect it.
In The United States, our protectors include everyone from police and firemen,
to insurance companies, government agencies and our military.

As we have evolved from wandering Hunter/Gatherers
to building permanent settlements, our needs have changed.
Now, we no longer need to SURVIVE, we need to MANAGE.

The Instincts that serve us best as Management Instincts
are our Inventor and Hunting Instincts.
Which is why they are usually at the helm of stable countries.

But...
People who act primarily out of Warrior Instinct
are often still elected to leadership roles.

This may be our survival instinct still hanging on.
After all, we have been on this earth for millions of years,
but have only been building permanent civilizations for about ten thousand years.

Old habits die hard.

What happens if Warriors start to take over the jobs of the Inventors and Hunters?

With Warriors at the top of the structure it becomes unbalanced,
and the country may eventually collapse.

This is a very unstable structure.

Our Warrior Instinct makes us act primarily out of our own opinion,
which is usually the first thing that pops into our heads.
We do not do research, like Hunters do, to find different ways to do something
and then pick the most efficient or cost effective.

We do not base our concepts on the bigger picture, like Inventors do,
because our Warrior Instinct blocks us from seeing the bigger picture.

We just try to force our opinion on the whole country.

You can see this behavior right now, in some countries,
where there are Warriors trying to redefine those countries
according to their opinion of what it should be.

(You can tell they are Warriors because their concepts
include some sort of forcing people to think and act in a certain way.
Warriors use force to get their needs met.)

Since our Warrior’s concept of a country is based on our own opinion,
and it has not been researched for efficiency or effectiveness,
and it's not based on the bigger picture,
it will ultimately fail.

In countries where Warriors are the leaders,
one of their biggest concerns is the perception that there are enemies
poised to kill us and take everything we have.

(See: The Perception Of Enemies)

The perception of enemies inspires these Warrior leaders
to spend the bulk of available revenue in the country on defense,
often bankrupting the country in the process.

Warriors get their needs met through force, or threat of force.
And so, they are constantly making enemies.

And so, they can justify spending the bulk of the national budget
on protecting the country, because enemies keep popping up.

How do Warriors get into power?

The people most likely to run for office
are people who act predominantly out of Warrior Instinct.
These people believe that they know better than you do
how the government should be run.

That’s why they want the job.
Just give me the job, give the money, give me the power
and then leave me alone.
I will take care of it for you.
Once elected, the people have little to no control of their own public servants.

A representative of the people is a public servant.
But Warriors don’t serve. They dictate.
They truly believe that they have been elected
because the people believe that they know best how to run the country.

A public servant ASKS the people what they want, and then works to get that done.
The Warrior representative TELLS the people what they should want,
and then tries to force that on all the people.

The best candidates for the job of public servant,
(those who act out of Inventor and Hunting Instinct),
will get chewed up by any Warrior opponent during the election,
based solely on the issue of security.
Warriors will point to Inventors and Hunters as being too weak
or scared to pull the trigger if they have to.

All the clear headed forward thinking big picture talk in the world
is no match for triggering the fears of the majority of the population.

The largest demographic of all the Instincts appears to be Worker.
Just like a beehive, we need more people acting primarily
out of Worker Instinct than any other instinct.

Warriors terrify the Workers with fear of enemies,
and then present themselves as the only ones who can protect them.

Workers will vote for the Warriors over the Inventors and Hunters out of their fears.

One possible way to fix this

Take away the power to vote from our representatives.

Voting for us is a privilege we granted our representatives
when we invented the United States.
If they prove that are not worthy of this privilege,
if they abuse the power for their own personal gain,
if the system becomes too corrupt,
it is always our option to revoke that privilege,
and take back the vote for ourselves.

Have them continue to write and propose laws,
but let the people vote on what laws they will be forced to live by.

We now have the technology our founding fathers could only dream of.
With the creation of the internet, cell phones, telephones and television,
the people now have immediate communication across the whole country.

We could be voting right now!

Hmmm... people voting for themselves... that sounds like... a Democracy!
